MBE900 Engine Recall
In December 2008 the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced a recall, 08V668000, which affected, in part, motorhomes built between March 2004 and August 2006 equipped with EPA04 Certified MBE900 engines. The high pressure fuel lines and transfer tubes on affected vehicles may fatigue and fracture.
As a result of the recall Detroit Diesel was to notify owners of affected vehicles of the defect and inform them how to have the situation corrected.
If you have a RV built between March 2004 and August 2006, equipped with a EPA04 Certified MBE900 and you have not received the notice from Detroit Diesel you can contact Detroit Diesel at (313) 592-3708 to confirm if you vehicle is covered by the recall.
